You'll start your trip in Thailand's lively capital, Bangkok, before spending the night at the River Kwai on the banks of a quiet jungle river. Next, you'll explore the mystical temples in Ayutthaya before travelling north by night train to Chiang Mai. Hop on an elephant's back for a trek through the mountainous area that is home to many friendly hill tribes. Afterwards, you'll board a train and travel through a green, wooded area on your way to Cambodia where Angkor Wat will be waiting for you to explore. This itinerary combines lively Vietnam with untainted Cambodia. After drifting amongst stunning karst mountains in Halong Bay, relaxing in friendly Hoi An and crawling through the Cu Chi tunnels in former Saigon you'll travel along the Mekong Delta, cross the border into Cambodia and journey on to the capital, Phnom Penh.
