Combining Cambodia and Laos
If you want to have an off the beaten track holiday; then combine Cambodia with Laos. From Cambodia you can travel over land to southern Laos, famous for the remote area's and beautiful green nature. From southern Laos - and from Cambodia as well - you can travel further north to Vientiane and the charming city Luang Prabang. Become an elephant-caretaker for a couple of days, hike to authentic mountain hill tribes and experience the impressive early morning procession of monks.

During the dry season, when water levels have dropped slowly, many islands become dry and over 4000 islands emerge from the waters in total.
