The rooms in the main centres will always have private ensuite bathrooms and most will have air conditioning. Sometimes they may even have a swimming pool.We use a hand-picked and eclectic selection of authentic, comfortable hotels. We steer clear of international chains, as we prefer to use properties with local character and warmth. We personally ensure that each property has the right combination of features such as cleanliness, location, friendly staff, good service, and local character. Of course, we always balance this against a good value for money. These properties are often fairly small, with only a handful of rooms, so we don't name the hotels in advance of booking. Once your booking is confirmed, we'll send you a comprehensive list of all of your hotels. |
Cambodia Accommodation CategoriesAt Cambodia Online we use comfort-level ratings from 1 to 5 for each accommodation featured in an itinerary or travel module. Our standard accommodation is a comfort level 3. These properties have a pleasant ambiance, with comfortable rooms including private bathroom with shower and toilet.Category 1: Very basic accommodation Basic accommodation in a hut/tent with limited facilities. This accommodation category is not used for travel in Cambodia at the moment. Category 2: Basic accommodation Simple, yet relatively comfortable. The travel modules Mekong, Dolphins and Laos and Cambodia, Hill Tribes and Totem Poles and Waterfalls of the Bolaven Plateau feature this type of accommodation as you stay in more remote small villages. You'll spend the night in a small, basic room but still with your own bathroom. |

Category 3: Comfortable accommodationClean, charming and well maintained accommodation at a good location. This is the standard category offered by Cambodia Online, and styles vary from small hotels and B&B's to cosy bungalows. Category 4: Upgraded accommodation At this level of Cambodia accommodation, things get a little bit more fancy with a few extra comforts. You will be accommodated within a spacious bungalow or room with fan and air-conditioning, and you'll usually find a swimming pool on the property. |
